This is Chassis 56, a classic car from October 1961, specifically a Jaguar E-Type S1 3.8 FHC. This unrestored, matching numbers vehicle is a running and driving example of vintage automobiles, showing only 19,000 miles with its original interior. It has undergone an outside repaint; however, the underside of the hood, firewall, engine frames, door jams, and inside the trunk still feature the factory paint. The car has no rust and has never been in an accident. Recently, it was serviced using only original factory parts, not reproduction.
With only 23,122 miles from new, this classic car is a remarkably unrestored and very original Jaguar E-Type. It features an exceptionally well-preserved interior, all original bodywork free of rust, and comes with the original service book and wallet. This vintage automobile includes a factory hardtop, chrome wire wheels, and a Hayward sport exhaust. Additionally, a bespoke EFI upgrade has been completed on this car.
This classic car features a 6.1 high output engine, complemented by Downdraft Fuel Injection for optimal performance. It boasts a 6-speed manual transmission, along with 6 piston front brake calipers and vented discs for superior stopping power. The vintage automobile is equipped with 4 pot rear brakes and vented rear discs. To enhance the driving experience, it also includes a sports exhaust and an aluminium radiator with uprated fans, making it a standout choice for enthusiasts of the Jaguar E-Type and other classic cars.
Full restoration carried out by E-Type America on this classic car, the Jaguar E-Type. This includes a full engine rebuild, featuring a ported head, performance cams, and larger valves. The balanced crank and 5-speed gearbox enhance its performance, while the sports suspension and sports exhaust provide an exhilarating driving experience. Jaguar E-type S1 OTS 3.8 1961 Outside Bonnet Lock, Chassis 875111. This unrestored classic car features matching numbers.
Finished in Old English White with Black Leather upholstery, this Jaguar E-Type is unbelievably original and untouched. Classic cars in such original condition, especially outside bonnet locking models like this, rarely come up for sale in an unrestored state.
The only incorrect items on the vehicle are the Battery, Soft Top, Tires, and horns. However, we can replace some of these parts with new old stock to maintain the integrity of this vintage automobile.
We haven’t yet touched the car or cleaned the dust off it, as it’s important to present it as we discovered it.
We would be happy to discuss options on the car, such as a recommissioning or a full restoration. The exterior paint appears to be factory original, and the interior is completely untouched and never restored.
The car comes with its original 1961 title and was registered in 1972, along with a newspaper dated 1972 found in the boot of the car.
Early Jaguar E-types in such pristine original condition are extremely difficult, if not impossible, to find more than 60 years later.
If you are looking to acquire a time-warp early E-type, I strongly recommend contacting us for more information and to arrange a viewing.
